What the heck is a Ruby Spider-Face Leopard Snakeskin and why is it so expensive? Well, as the name implies, it is a type of Leopard Snakeskin, similar to an Eruption Leopard Snakeskin. Ruby defines deep intense red of the spotted pattern that completely covers this discus from head to tail. And Spider-Face refers to the perfect round spots on the face of this discus, which look like the multiple eyes of a spider’s face. So there you have it. Once it’s yours, you can call it anything you like, but that is what the breeder decided to call it. Now why is it so expensive? These are show-quality fish, there is no doubt about that. In fact we entered one of these in the 2016 NADA Discus Show and Convention. Even though it didn’t win, NADA has used a picture of this discus in some of its advertising. It is the signature fish of our breeder, and the highest quality. See for yourself.
